Monte Cristo Resto Lounge, a Quick Hip Bistro

Quebec-Raised Foie Gras at Chateau Bonne Entente in Quebec City

Most people equate foie gras with France, however, Quebec is the only Canadian province that produces it. So where else to enjoy it but in Quebec? And what better to enjoy it with than a chilled syrupy ice cider, another Quebec specialty, from Domaine Pinnacle?

If you’re looking for well-prepared Quebec ingredients transformed into delicious cuisine, the MC Resto Lounge is where to find it. Located on-site in the Chateau Bonne Entente, this trendy New York style restaurant is a great place to grab a quick bite before heading to the airport. White leather modern banquettes with floating wooden shelves and a glass encased wine cellar entice you to pick from their Wine Spectator renowned cellar.

Chef Marie-Chantal Lepage will charm you with her accent, thrill you with her magic culinary combinations and impress you with her artistic presentation. It’s not very often to see a woman chef running the show, but she’s winning awards all over town, including the first woman to be named the Quebec Chef of the Year.

Local wines are also recommended by the very knowledgeable staff; Le Clos Jordanne was a Niagara wine that perfectly complimented the whole fish chosen as a main course. Then came the local Quebec cheese platter and a dessert plate too beautiful to eat.

After such a luxurious meal, it was back to the Living Rouge Urban Suite for a soak in the ThermoMasseur Bath. What luxury!
